A/Prof Williamson is a Respiratory and Sleep physician whose practice covers a wide range of respiratory and sleep pathologies including asthma, COPD, lung and airway infections, sleep disorders and lung cancer. He developed an interest in interventional procedures and completed a bronchoscopy-based PhD in 2010. A/Prof Williamson's list of procedures includes endobronchial ultrasound, rigid bronchoscopy for management of central airway obstruction, YAG-laser, cryotherapy, argon plasma coagulation, endobronchial lung volume reduction for management of emphysema and airway stent insertion for palliation of obstructing lung tumours.
