Biography
Prof Stoodley is Clinical Program Head of Neurosciences and Chair of the Clinical Leadership Council at MQ Health. He subspecialises in neurovascular surgery and is an Australian leader in cerebral bypass surgery, especially in the treatment of moyamoya disease and other occlusive disorders. He is recognised for his clinical management of Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, and spinal cord tumours. After completing neurosurgery training, he undertook further subspecialty training in vascular neurosurgery in the USA. Prof Stoodley also heads the neurosurgery research team at Macquarie University, one of the largest neurosurgery research groups in Australasia.
