Biography
Dr Lam is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences at Macquarie University as well as the University of Sydney. In the Surgical Assessment Clinic at MQ Health Lymphoedema, Thomas performs life-changing medical liposuction on patients with advanced lymphoedema. Thomas practices as a specialist plastic and reconstructive surgeon but is also a qualified general surgeon. He has special interests in breast reduction and reconstruction and skin cancer surgery. Thomas’ research interest is the impact of radiotherapy on prosthetic breast reconstruction after mastectomy for cancer for which he was awarded a doctorate degree by the University of Sydney.
