Biography
Dr Ashaia holds a primary degree in medicine and surgery, as well as a Master of Orthopaedic Surgery and Master of Clinical Epidemiology. He is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of Surgeons and completed fellowships in Foot and Ankle Surgery, Lower Limb Reconstruction, and Arthroplasty. He gained subspecialised experience at Royal North Shore Hospital Hand Unit and Westmead Children’s Hospital. Dr Ashaia is a Conjoint Lecturer in the School of Medicine at Western Sydney University. He has extensive experience in managing complex orthopaedic lower limb presentations through minimal invasive surgery, preoperative 3D modelling and planning, and robotic assisted surgery.
