Groundbreaking research with world-changing impact
We are pushing the boundaries of progressive thinking and challenging what’s possible.
MQ Health's research embraces the challenge of tackling large-scale, complex global health and medical issues. We are leaders in a range of biomedical and clinical research, and in allied health and health services and systems.
Our unique research ecosystem provides 'pipelines' from the laboratory, through to pre-clinical research, to clinical trials and then to the clinic and hospital.
Our areas of clinical research and specialisation reflect our capabilities in complex areas such as:
- advanced and robotic surgery
- neurosurgery
- medical imaging
- clinical trials
- cross-disciplinary collaboration.
These capabilities are built on MQ Health’s laboratory research in areas such as the causes of neurodegenerative diseases and cancers. We use these new insights to design and evaluate potential treatments.
Our research also seeks to save lives and costs by measuring, evaluating and improving the efficiency of healthcare systems.
The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences leads MQ Health's research and teaching activities. It provides quality higher degree research training through an integrated Research Masters–PhD pathway.
