Quality care for you and your family

Below you will find a sample of the measures we track to ensure we are achieving our goals.

We strive to achieve the best possible health outcomes, care experience, value proposition, work environment and professional insights.

We strive to improve the overall health of our practice population by monitoring the incidence of chronic health conditions, the incidence of risk factors for chronic health conditions, and the rates of immunisation and cancer screening against recommended levels.

We currently have a particular focus on promoting heart health and preventing cardiovascular disease (CVD). We support our patients to manage or modify their risk factors.

A proportion of our patients with a particular risk factor, is recorded in their medical records. Understanding our practice population enables us to provide appropriate advice to patients to manage these risk factors.

More information about risk factors is available via the Heart Foundation.

We strive to provide a family-friendly and professional experience through compassion, collaboration and continuity, and in line with MQ Health’s principles of care.

HotDoc and Google help us capture real-time feedback from our patients about their experience with us. All our patients are offered the opportunity to provide us a rating and a comment after their visit. See the feedback results.

We have an average monthly Google Rating Over Time score for our two clinics:

  • Macquarie University – a current rating of 4.7 out of 5.
  • Marsfield – a current rating of 4.9 out of 5.

Note: Google Reviews scores are rated on a scale from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 as the highest rating

We strive to be proactive with health screening, prevention and treatment, and regularly reach out to patients at risk of, or living with chronic health conditions.

Medicare and overseas insurers subsidise eligible patient visits for the development and review of GP Management Plans, and for annual Health Assessments where clinically appropriate. This means that our patients pay no out-of-pocket fees for these visits.

We are therefore able to provide more patients with appropriate, proactive care aimed at managing or preventing chronic health conditions.

We strive to provide a high-achieving culture that inspires our team to realise their full potential.

Our team is made up of GP, nurses, allied health professionals and administration professionals, as well as students and trainees that cycle though our practice.

The following information provides an insight into feedback received from our team members in a 2021 staff survey.

When presented with the following:

  1. I feel empowered to do my best work every day – 45.5% agreed, 50% strongly agreed and 4.5% neither agreed nor disagreed.
  2. How likely are to to recommend working at the Practice to a friend or colleague? – 63.6% agreed, 31.8% strongly agreed and 4.5% neither agreed nor disagreed.

We strive to shape the future of general practice through involvement in teaching, supervision, research, innovation and partnerships.

We offer training to medical students, medical interns, medical residents, GP Registrars and graduate nurses.
