You’ll discuss treatment options with your treating physiotherapist to decide the best course of action.

1. Triage: When you call, our administration team collects a brief history for the spine team’s review before your assessment. If additional details are needed, your physiotherapist will reach out to you.
2. Initial assessment: You’ll have a comprehensive consultation, including a thorough history, and physical and neurological exams conducted by a physiotherapist.
3. Fast track care access: Patients with urgent medical or surgical needs will receive timely access to the necessary care. This may include referral for medical imaging, image-guided injection or specialist consultation.
4. Multidisciplinary team (MDT) care discussion: Every Thursday, our team reviews your case and develops a tailored care plan. Your GP is welcomed to join this meeting.
5. Follow-up: After the MDT case discussion, your physiotherapist and possibly other team members will meet with you to go over the suggested management plan. This can occur either in person or via telehealth.
6. Ongoing care: Your care plan will be updated regularly, and your GP will receive a comprehensive report.

• You don’t need a referral from your GP to visit our clinic, though it’s helpful as it usually includes a full summary of your medical history. Your GP may also be able to help you access a Medicare plan for a rebate on physiotherapy sessions.
• Any relevant medical imaging or reports. Note: we do not require you to have had scans before attending our clinic.
• Comfortable clothing (shorts and t-shirt preferred).

• a pain specialist
• physiotherapists
• spine surgeons and their teams.

The cost for your initial consultation is $370, which includes:

• your initial consultation
• MDT case discussions
• specialist review of medical imaging (as needed)
• any necessary referrals for medical imaging, injection therapies or specialist consultations
• your first physiotherapy follow-up appointment
• a summary letter to your GP or other chosen healthcare professional.
